Chocolate Peanut Butter Cheesecake with Pretzel Crust

Chocolate Peanut Butter Cheesecake with Pretzel Crust is simple, quick and very tasty.  It is a really special dessert, perfect for any occasion.  


– 1 1/2 cups crushed pretzel – 1/4 cup granulated sugar – 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted – 16 oz cream cheese, softened – 1 cup creamy peanut butter – 1 cup powdered sugar – 1 tsp vanilla extract – 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chip – 1/2 cup heavy cream – Optional: chopped peanuts and chocolate sauce for topping

Step 1

Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Mix crushed pretzels, granulated sugar, and melted butter. Press into bottom of a 9-inch springform pan. Bake for 10 minutes, then let it cool.

Step 2

In a large bowl, beat cream cheese, peanut butter, powdered sugar, and vanilla extract until smooth. Spread over the cooled crust.

Step 3

In a small saucepan, heat heavy cream until it simmers. Remove from heat and pour over chocolate chips. Let it sit for a minute, then stir until smooth. Let it cool slightly.

Step 4

Pour the chocolate mixture over the peanut butter layer. Spread evenly. Refrigerate for at least 4 hours or until set.

Step 5

Once set, run a knife around the edge of the cheesecake to loosen it from the pan. Remove the springform pan sides.

Step 6

Optionally, top with chopped peanuts and drizzle with chocolate sauce before serving. Enjoy your decadent chocolate peanut butter cheesecake with pretzel crust!
