Mom’s Homemade Rolls

Mom’s Homemade Rolls are favorite kind of rolls in my family. I like to prepare them for dinner, although they are so delicious, that I can have them for every meal. They are unbelievably tasty, soft, buttery – in one word – perfect.


– 2 cups warm milk – 1/2 cup sugar – 1/2 cup butter, melted – 2 packages active dry yeast – 2 eggs, beaten – 6-7 cups all-purpose flour – 1 teaspoon salt

Step 1

Dissolve yeast in warm milk and let it stand for 5 minutes.

Step 2

In a large bowl, mix sugar, melted butter, eggs, and salt.

Step 3

Add yeast mixture and gradually stir in flour until dough forms.

Step 4

Knead dough on a floured surface until smooth and elastic.

Step 5

Place dough in a greased bowl, cover, and let it rise until doubled in size.

Step 6

 Punch down dough, shape into rolls, place on a baking sheet, let rise again, then bake at 375°F for 12-15 minutes.
